On Sunday, December 7th, Trio Restaurant held a Gift Drive for AIDS Assistance Program’s clients. Supporters came loaded with gifts ranging from toys for the children to linens, pots and pans and other households items needed by AAP’s low income men, women and children who are living at or below 150% of the national poverty level. The highlight of the afternoon was the appearance of Lisa Vanderpump along with her daughter Pandora, who is known for her appearances on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Vanderpump Rules, and ABC's Dancing with the Stars. Ms. Vanderpump graciously held photo ops with gift donors while everyone enjoyed complimentary “LVP Sangria”. Ms. Vanderpump’s very own LVP sangria is a light, refreshing sangria made from Lisa Vanderpump’s signature recipe that has been tested time and again at her fabulous restaurants and parties, pleasing friends, family, and customers every time it’s poured. LVP sangria was an instant crowd-pleaser.
Says AAP Director Mark Anton, “We are continually overwhelmed at the generosity of not only Tony Marchese and Mark Van Laanen, co-owners of Trio and The Purple Room, who continually give of their time and resources to AAP and other charities, but at the generosity of the community. These gifts will be distributed to our clients at our next Food Voucher distribution on Tuesday, December 16th at the AAP offices. These gifts will in some cases be the only gift our client might receive” AAP begins its 24th year in January of supplying nutritional support to hundreds of clients monthly and is managed by only one full-time and one part-time staff and an amazing cadre of volunteers which make it all possible.
