Valentine’s Day inspires the romantic in all of us to treat that special someone to an evening of dining out. Here is a “heart-y” list of dining options that will have your Valentine saying, “Be Mine.”

Braised Short Ribs are on the Valentine’s Dinner Menu at Wilma & Frieda’s Café. The special menu is accompanied by music indoors and out.

 

If your idea of romance includes gourmet comfort food accompanied by harp music indoors and music from The Gardens on El Paseo concert series outdoors, be sure to book ahead to celebrate with your sweetie at Wilma & Frieda’s Café. The featured menu for the evening includes quiche, salad, short ribs and house-made truffles. Erica Powell will provide romantic harp music indoors. Price is $55 and seating begins at 5:30 p.m.

The Purple Pear Salad and Mussels are a great way to start off a Valentine's evening at The Purple Room.

 

The Purple Room will offer two dinner and music seatings, which include a three-course dinner and a glass of champagne. The 6:30 p.m. seating will feature The Michael Homes Trio ($59). The 8:30 p.m. seating offers a special Valentine’s Show – Love Songs from Motown to Memphis, featuring The Gand Band with special guests ($99). The “Rat Pack” themed restaurant and club is a fun way to celebrate with your music-loving sweetheart.

If your idea of romance is a setting that celebrates the history of old Palm Springs, the Valentine’s Day dinner at Purple Palm Restaurant will have your heart beating faster. The three-course menu includes a glass of fine sparkling wine and a choice of appetizers including oysters or Hamachi. Featured entrees like risotto with lobster, rack of lamb and steak make for a luxurious meal. Clementine Gourmet Marketplace and Café offers a three-course set Valentine’s Dinner Menu priced at $52. Reservations are required for seatings beginning at 5 p.m. Enjoy gourmet options like cheese fritters, salads or salmon to start. Entrees include fish, chicken, and beef and a sweet selection of chocolate choices for dessert.
