The corner of Tahquitz Canyon Way and Palm Canyon Drive in the heart of downtown Palm Springs transformed from the site of the former Bank of America to the temporary home of Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe.

The 26-foot tall sculpture sits in an area locals call "Marilyn Monroe Park," and the new moniker is: you haven't done Palm Springs until you get your picture taken at her feet.

Now, you can gaze at Marilyn's likeness whenever you want, thanks to a live web cam installed atop the Starbucks Coffee across the street.

Go to the City of Palm Springs' website or Visit Palm Springs website and you will be plugged into a live feed directly from downtown, overlooking the park and statue.

“Since her arrival in June, Forever Marilyn has been a huge hit with residents and visitors alike and this new web cam is a way for people to check the sculpture out live,” said Mary Jo Ginther, Director of the Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism. “It’s very cool to watch fans in front of Marilyn snapping photos and experiencing this wonderful new tourist attraction in downtown and its just more proof that Palm Springs truly is like no place else!”
