Thursday, Nov. 15

How about preparing your own meal? Copley’s in Palm Springs offers a Happy Hour Cooking Class from 5:45-7 p.m. that includes a glass of wine, hors d’oeuvres and a cooking demonstration by Chef Copley for $35.

Friday, Nov. 16

Look in awe at one of the greatest collections of collector cars at the McCormick’s Collector Car Auction on the ground of the Spa Resort Casino. Starts at 3 p.m. Friday and continues through the weekend. More than 500 vehicles will be on the auction block. Entry is free on Friday and $15 a day on Saturday and Sunday.

 

Taking a break as a judge on “The Voice”, Ceelo Green performs at the Show at Agua Caliente at 9 p.m. in Ranch Mirage. Ticket prices range from $65 to $110.

 

 

Saturday, Nov. 17

The Desert Woman’s Show offers more than 140 displays of products and services, while the Center Stage features a daily fashion show at The Westin Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage. Entry into the two-day show is $15 at the door, $12 in advance. Runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

 

See one of the first official tree lightings of the holiday season at A Miracle on El Paseo in Palm Desert, which benefits Bighorn BAM. The 60-foot tree is just one highlight of this family event that also offers ice skating, in-store activities in the shops on El Paseo, great food and more. Runs 5-8 p.m.

 

 

Sunday, Nov. 18

Here’s a chance to satisfy your sweet tooth. Sample some sweet creations at the Cupcake Challenge from 1-4 p.m. at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio. Admission is $30 for adults and $10 for kids. Bring three canned/non-perishable items and your ticket on the day of the event and receive $5 back on adult admission. Celebrity judges, and professional and amateur cupcake bake-offs. Benefits Well in the Desert, which provides meals to those impacted by poverty in the Coachella Valley.
