Body treatments — wraps, scrubs, and a variety of massages — are favorites at the Well Spa.

This month, the Well Spa at Miramonte is offering a Spa Escape that combines overnight lodging, a facial, massage or wrap and full use of the spa facilities, including the eucalyptus steam room, lockers and showers with luxury amenities, fitness room and wellness classes.

Over at the Hilton Palm Springs, Elements Spa has three great August specials, including the Medley Massage customized to your specific needs; the Pomegranate Wine Cooler Facial, aimed at rehydrating and revitalizing; and the yummy Watermelon Spa Pedicure to get your hardworking feet ready for poolside parties.

Spa guests are encouraged to arrive early and spend a few hours or a full day enjoying the amenities. Highlights are the eucalyptus infused steam room and a Swiss shower, with overhead rain and nine adjustable body jets. Day guests also receive complimentary valet parking and use of hotel pool, hot tub and fitness facilities.

The full-service salon at Azure Spa offers hair styling, makeup, mani-pedi and special bridal services.

Azure Spa and Salon at the Riviera Palm Springs is completely refreshed, with 11,000 square feet of luxurious and relaxing space, including 18 treatment rooms and an expansive Watsu pool. Azure is known for its signature Rituals treatments such as the Chi Royal — a Jasmine-infused soaking bath, Jasmine oil exfoliation and full body Chi massage.

Other favorites are is the Waterfall Water Therapy Massage, a total relaxation treatment in the 98-degree pool; the Get Toned Cactus Body Wrap and spa treatments for two that include a private Zen Steam Room.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa rarely has specials, but the signature treatments are becoming known throughout the area among spa aficionados who crave the ultimate in privacy and luxury. The Desert Wildflower Poultice Massage incorporates heated poultices using indigenous organic herbs to release tension, along with a massage that incorporates stretching, compression on the mama points and soothing traditional massage strokes.

The Cooling Body Therapy works wonders to calm and rehydrated sun-stressed skin, using a cooling aloe vera wrap, foot massage and rich moisturizer application. Following the theme of nature-based treatments, the Indigenous Desert Clay Wrap includes body brushing, a wrap with healing desert clay, facial acupressure, snap massage and moisturizer, all aimed at detoxifying, calming inflammation and refreshing.
