Site Staff Arts & Entertainment

LINA SIMONI of Palm Springs has published a children’s book titled Sofia’s Rainbow (Moonleaf Publishing). The story is set in Turkey, where a young girl strikes up a friendship with a kitten and learns a lesson of tolerance and acceptance through their adventure together. For each book sold on www.sofiasrainbow.com, Moonleaf Publishing donates $4 to two literacy nonprofit organizations: Coachella Valley-based Tools for Tomorrow and Washington, D.C.-based First Book.

Palm Springs lawyer SEBASTIAN GIBSON has published Nitt Witt Hill (CreateSpace), a satirical fable set on Nitt Witt Ridge in Cambria and Capitol Hill. In the book, the top political parties have degenerated into the Nitt Witts, the Turkeys, and the Clown Party. Unless political consultant Mark and his dog, Twain, can determine what’s making people so neurotic, the country may collapse.
