Coachella musical influence can be found away from the main stage



Adventure Club takes the stage during Weekend One of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Annual Festival.

Weekend One is over, but the party is just getting started.

Weekend Two of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, April 18-20, sprouts several party opportuities to enjoy good music poolside or at other venues.

Even if you didn’t get a ticket to Coachella, there are plenty of chances to experience the festival in other ways:

 

Hard Rock Hotel, 150 S Indian Canyon Drive, Palm Springs

When: April 17-20

Who: Ticket holder or private cabana reservation.

Cost: $40 to $60

What: DJ appearances by Skrillex, Martin Garrix, Tiesto and Showtek.

 

Riviera Palm Springs, 1600 N. Indian Canyon Drive, Palm Springs

When:  April 11-20.

Who:  Riviera guests and general public.

What: 1950’s styled Palm Springs pool parties with DJs and live music from DJ Sweet Brush, DJ Shasta, Chris Layva & Esjay Jones, Indian Summer, My Elysian, Pia Toscano, and The Heavy Guilt.

Ace Hotel & Swim Club, 701 E Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs

What: Desert Gold 2014, Weekend Two.

Who:  Open to the general public and all ages, but priority is given to hotel guests. Arrive before noon. Events in the Amigo Room are 21+.

What: Festival NRMAL runs at the Swim Club pool from noon to 6 p.m. and the Amigo Room from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Acts include Frosty & Friends, Freak City DJ's & Brenmar,  DJ Day & Shortkut, DJ's Canyon Cody, Gozar and Ethos.

 

The Do-Over

Where: Ace Hotel & Swim Club, 701 E. Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs.

When: Noon to 6 p.m., April 20.

Who: Open to the public (21+).

WHAT: Returning for it’s fourth year in a row, the Do-Over partners with Adidas to host this classic Coachella pool party.

 

The Saguaro, 1800 E Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs

When: April 11-13, April 18-20.

What: Desert Weekender is a Coachella weekend staple. Weekend Two acts have not been announced. DJ acts run 3-9 p.m. April 18, and 1-7 p.m. April 19-20.

 

Zero Gravity

When:  10 p.m. to 4 a.m, Apri 18-19

Where: Riverside County Fairgrounds, Indio.

Who: Open to the public (21+).

What:  Event area covers 33,000 sqaure feet with geo-domes, art and light installations, a 65-foot rocket ship, plus musical talent SocialNightlife, Rocketboy Events and Drai's.

 

Filter Magazine Yacht Club

When:  9 p.m., Apri 17

Where: To be announced.

Who: Open to the public (21+).
