The Stroke Recovery Center of Palm Springs will host its “Evening of Hope: A Night at the Copa” on Nov. 22 at the Riviera Palm Springs.

Often referred to as the “best party in the Valley,” guests will be transported to the legendary Copacabana as organizers recreate the look and feel of that elegant era for an evening filled with glamour and fun. The Center’s 35th annual black tie gala will celebrate the philanthropists and community leaders who have supported the organization during its 36-year history and offer a few special surprise guests.

The Stroke Recovery Center offers exercise, recreational, and speech therapies to help survivors of stroke and traumatic brain injury perform daily activities and also participate in social interaction.

With an annual budget approaching $1 million, the Center relies exclusively on fundraising events, foundations, family donations, and revenues from Jackie Lee’s Thrift Shop to fund the more than 10,000 visits  to more than 275 clients per year, five days per week. Contributions go directly to making sure that all services for stroke and traumatic brain injured clients (and their families) remain free.

The Evening of Hope will begin at 6 p.m. with a hosted cocktail reception, followed by dinner, dancing, and entertainment at 7 pm.

Tickets are $350 per person and may be purchased by visiting visit http://galasrc.org or calling 760-323-7676, ext.112.
