Seth Aaron — Project Runway

Designer Seth Aaron

Adrianne Bonafede

Seth Aaron was the first designer on the runway at Fashion Week El Paseo™ on Wednesday night. Aaron, winner of Project Runway season seven and head casting judge replacing Tim Gunn, rolled out out a largely black collection, which featured lots of leather and was punctuated with brightly colored headwear and super-pouty models who sported grotesque fake lips in hot neon hues.

A black-and-white checkered dress with an open skirt drew the first of many cheers from the audience.

Aaron’s spring/summer 2012 collection of sustainable apparel featured fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles and organic materials. His fall 2012 Madmen collection, under the SethAaron Black label, appeared last year on the Fashion Week El Paseo™ runway. In October 2012, he showed his fall/winter Black label collection at FashionXT in Portland, Ore.
