Through a family connection, Desert Vintage Realty broker-owner Kay Bastasini landed the listing for a luxury oceanfront villa in the Dominican Republic that was once owned by Mansour Ojjeh, (CEO of TAG Holding Co., with interests in TAG Heuer watch company and McLaren Formula One racing). Ojjeh’s father reportedly purchased the villa for his son’s 30th birthday.
Listed at $15 million, 24,000-square-foot Casa Alegre encompasses 12 bedrooms, 10 baths, two pools, multiple terraces and verandas, and plenty of grounds for a helicopter to land. It is part of the 7,000-acre Casa de Campo resort hotel and villas that feature three Pete Dye golf courses covering jungle and rocky coastline and a marina that is home to luxury yachts from around the world. Large enough to serve as a hotel on its own, Casa Alegre was available to rent for $3,500 per night.
The buyer won’t have to go far for a cocktail. The founder of the Jägermeister and Grey Goose Vodka labels lives next door.
