Renowned celebrity photographer Michael Childers generously hosted a private dinner for 20 guests that was part of Desert AIDS Project’s Dinner@My Place events.

Dinner@MyPlace is a series of memorable dining experiences with ticket proceeds going directly back to DAP.

This dinner was appropriately set in the “Michael Childers room” at Eight4Nine Restaurant, which is a veritable gallery of celebrities whom he has photographed throughout his career. As guests sat down to enjoy a four-course dinner at a long and elegantly dressed table, the portraits of Natalie Wood, Catherine Deneuve, and Stephanie Powers looked on in mouth-watering envy. Powers was the honored guest for the evening.

Childers and Powers regaled guests with tales of growing up in Beverly Hills. Powers discussed her path to becoming a stage, screen, and television star and her relationships with William Holden and Robert Wagner. Childers elaborated on some of his experiences as a young, handsome, and talented photographer for the stars.

Eight4Nine co-owner Willie Rhine’s hospitality included wines and champagne from Moët Hennessey, while award-winning executive chef Chuck Courtney served magnificent dishes.

Dinner@My Place events are sponsored by State Farm.
