The variety of experiences available in Greater Palm Springs was never more evident than during this year’s Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week 2016.

From tantalizing cuisine at restaurants, exploring the beautiful desert through attractions, relaxing at spas to checking in for a resort vacation at a hotel, Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week offers all of what makes the desert special.

The opening party definitely gave attendees a ‘taste’ of what to expect from Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week May 24 at Pirch in Rancho Mirage. The high-end kitchen and bathroom appliance store was the perfect backdrop to an array of food bites provided by the chefs from Sysco food service company, the presenting sponsor.

More than 100 restaurants, hotels and attractions participated in the Restaurant Week promotion, June 3-12, offering three-course, prix fixe dinners priced at $28, $38 and $48 per person. No other promotion throughout the year provides diners with an opportunity to enjoy some of the best food in the desert at great prices.

In addition to Sysco handling the food at the kick-off event, Rum Chata served signature cocktails and also was among the sponsors.

Additional sponsors included Pacific Premier Bank, U.S. Bank, Palm Springs Resorts, Palm Springs Hospitality Association, and the cities of Indian Wells, La Quinta, Palm Desert, Palm Springs, and Rancho Mirage.

Media sponsors included: Palm Springs Life, Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau, The Desert Sun, JNS Media Specialists, and Valpak of Palm Springs.
