German artist Kim A. Tolman, who lives in Palm Springs, is being featured at the desert's largest art venue, MAD.KAT Gallery in Rancho Mirage. This art show highlights Tolman's paintings from the early 1990s to today. Tolman's expressive work emphasizes texture and color. Rubine Red Gallery's latest show is "Just Bloom" by Michael Griffin. Griffin's new show expands his chrysanthemum flower inspired series by taking oil forms to higher levels of dimensional color, depth, and light. The opening reception will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 5 to 8 p.m.
The Palm Springs Library hosts "Slay: The Art of Drag" art exhibit by artist Craig Mann. Browse through 20 portraits of local drag queens. Mann celebrates local drag artists who bring joy and entertainment to their audiences. The exhibit can be viewed at the main library durning regular hours.
