This Los Angeles band got its start making mariachi music, but when guitarist Joby J. Ford and vocalist Matt Caughthran came together to decide the band’s fate, they moved on from the traditional and took on the modern. Now a fusion of electronic and mariachi, Mariachi El Bronx brings its performance to Pappy + Harriet’s Pioneertown Palace on May 2 at 8 p.m.
