Sports luminary Art Spander, on duty providing website coverage of the tournament for Palm Springs Life this week, gives fans a peek at a couple of matches to watch on Thursday (March 10).

It's been awhile since an American has won the men's singles title at the BNP Paribas Open, but Spander says to attend the Thursday afternoon match between Taylor Fritz of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., and Frances Tiafoe of College Park, Md., who is the youngest player in Top 200 of the ATP World Tour rankings.

Bill Dwyre, a former sports columnist for the Los Angeles Times, will take over BNP coverage for Palm Springs Life starting March 14 through the crowning of a women's and men's singles champions.
