Heidi Holmes of GreenLeaf Consulting & Design has designed a runway dress that is not only futuristic in its aesthetic, but completely 21st century in it’s use of sustainable, environmentally responsible materials. “The Future is Now” makes an environmental design statement by integrating the Bauhaus concept of minimal waste with the 21st Century’s need for sustainability, and gives it all a Mid-Century Futuristic aesthetic. By incorporating renewable and recyclable materials, such as Designtex, bamboo fabric and copper coil, along with a few Swarovski crystals—we brought the Atomic Age to the “Age of Sustainability,” proving the future is indeed now.
