During the 1960s, Long Island housewife Joan Archibald left her old life by fleeing to Southern California, where she reinvented herself as a photographer and took the name “Kali” soon after moving to Palm Springs. See her prints and Polaroids in Kali, Artographer, 1932–2019, a new exhibition on view through April at the Palm Springs Art Museum.

Enter the world of Pablo Picasso at the Palm Springs Art Museum. The art exhibition features a combination of works from the museum and private collections ranging from 1904 to 1968.  The installation has 40 prints and ceramics that celebrate the legacy of one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.

Keynote speaker Paul Goldberger, a Pulitzer Prize–winning architectural critic, will be joined by experts Brad Dunning, Barbara Lamprecht, and Joseph Rosa, contributors to the new book Albert Frey: Inventive Modernist. Explore Frey's impact on
