This is the 3rd year for this event, which is put on with the help of Ironwood Country Club. Over 70 ladies from Ironwood Country club attended. Upon arrival, they had an opportunity to putt putt for a hole-in-one. The first 5 to get a hole-in-one were treated to gift certificates to the new Wolfgang Puck Pizza Bar, the newest addition to The Shops on El Paseo. Each participant was then given a "Passport to Style," which they must get stamped by each participating store in order to be entered to win an array of prizes from each store. In addition, many of the stores offered champagne and refreshments as well as special giveaways or shopping incentives. Wolfgang Puck also offered a sneak peek inside their new restaurant as well as pizza samples.
The ladies shopped from 5 until around 6:30 when they brought their "Passports" to be entered at Escada, who hosted a lovely catered reception. Palm Desert Mayor Jan Harnik attended and spoke before announcing the lucky winners – around 20 prizes were given out, mostly gift cards to each store ranging from $50 to $500.
