Don’t  believe anyone who tells you they don’t care how they look as long as they feel good. If that describes you, here’s how to feel good AND look good, courtesy of one of the desert’s elegant spas.

Rock Spa at the Hard Rock Hotel in Palm Springs melds music and treatment into a pore-cleansing, muscle-melting state of bliss while reframing your take on technology. The spa’s signature Rhythm & Motion treatments are the bomb for stress-relief, with customized playlists issuing from a sound dome and run through an amp built into the massage table.

Guests get vibrational therapy as well as traditional hands-on massage therapy. The pampering services include massage, scrubs, wraps, facials, and waxing. Through next month, the big promotion is the Sweet Treat massage, a relaxing full-body massage finished with an application of Farmhouse Fresh Sweet Cream Body Milk.

The Spa at Desert Springs takes a much more traditional approach to body bliss with a variety of Ayurvedic treatments, which are based on ancient healing practices from India. The Bindi is a full-body masque using warm, crushed herbs to cleanse and exfoliate the skin, followed by a light massage of oil infused with herbs meant to balance and harmonize the chakras.

Rock Spa’s sound dome delivers a soothing dose of vibrational therapy while the aesthetician delivers facial or massage treatments.

Add the Shirodhara treatment for a truly transformative experience. It’s a stream of warm oil poured onto the forehead to relax and calm the nervous system, herb-infused hair oil for a stimulating scalp treatment, and a rhythmic hand and foot treatment to finish. The Nirvana package includes the Bindi and Shirodhara treatments with an herbal wrap.

Two Bunch Palms’ special through April is a Spring Renewal treat of exfoliating/hydrating grapefruit-sugar scrub packed with shea butter and glycerin to polish dry skin and seal in moisture with grapefruit, sweet orange and ginger oils.

Specials at Spa Las Palmas this month focus on the benefits of certified organic coconut, guava, and mango, blended with 100 percent pure aroma essences that capture the surrounding desert. The hydrating CocoMango Ritual combines a scrub and massage with coconut and mango products, and the Glowing Guava Ritual is 100 minutes of indulgence courtesy a Fiji guava scrub and massage followed by a Glowing Skin facial.

Estrella at the Avalon Hotel and Bungalows in Palm Springs, known for its poolside treatments and relaxing atmosphere just steps from Palm Canyon Drive, is offering 25 percent off the second 60-minute treatment. Or, focus on your fingers and tickle your toes with the Milky Way mani/pedi that soothes tired joints with a warm fresh milk soak, smooths skin with a white clay/green tea mask and jojoba-unused comfrey oil rub, and polishes it all off with nail shaping, cuticle treatment, and a polish/buff.
