Choosing a doctor can be one of the most important decisions of your life.

That’s why Palm Springs Life has partnered with Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a New York–based healthcare research and information company founded in 1991 by a former medical college board chairman and president, to help guide consumers to America’s top doctors and hospitals.

Castle Connolly’s established nomination survey, research, screening, and selection process involves hundreds of thousands of physicians as well as medical centers, specialty hospitals, and regional and community hospitals across the country. Castle Connolly’s physician-led team of researchers follows a meticulous screening process to select top doctors nationally and regionally. The online nomination process — at — is open to all licensed physicians in the United States. The doctors may nominate other physicians in any medical specialty in any part of the country.

After careful screening of nominees’ educational and professional experience, Castle Connolly identifies the top doctors in America and provides patients with detailed information about their education, training, and specialties.

Physicians selected for inclusion in this magazine’s Top Doctors feature may also appear as Regional Top Doctors online at, or in a Castle Connolly Top Doctors guide, such as America’s Top Doctors or America’s Top Doctors for Cancer.

Doctors do not and cannot pay to be selected and profiled as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor.
