The reach of Toscana Country Club members extends well beyond the borders of the Indian Wells community, and into college classrooms across the country.

The fundraising efforts of members have allowed Toscana employees or children of employees to keep education as a priority in their lives. For the 2014-2015 school year, the fund provided $96,500 in scholarships to 28 deserving students, who are pursuing degrees locally at the College of the Desert and University of California Riverside and as far away as Portland State University and Miami University.

One vehicle to raise money is the Fourth Annual Toscana Challenge, which brings current and past PGA and LPGA stars to compete while raising money for the Toscana Employee Scholarship Fund. This year's event took place in January where members had the opportunity to bid to caddie for the players, who included Bill Haas, John Merrick, Nicole Castrale, Jay Haas, Ian-Baker Finch, Juli Inskter, and Bill Harmon.

The event paired the players for a fun nine-hole match where the caddies and players interacted with the crowd of members and guests following the competiton. The caddie auction and donations at the reception following the match raised money for the fund.
