Variety of the Desert – The Children’s Charity announced the winner of the raffle drawing for a Ford C-Max Hybrid – Yanelle Magana – at the Mary Pickford Theater in Cathedral City. The automobile was purchased in partnership with Palm Springs Motors. Needless to say Yanelle was thrilled with her new hybrid vehicle and said that she was very happy to be the winner and also a supporter of Variety The Children’s Charity.  In attendance were Board President Michael Mathews, Vice President Jim Haggerty, Treasurer Ted Hane and Board Members Dan Pferschy, Doug Watson, Steve Johns and Scott Simmers from Palm Springs Motors.

Variety – The Children’s Charity is a multi-million dollar philanthropic organization with locations throughout the United States including Variety of the Desert. Starting with a baby left on the doorsteps of a movie theater in 1928, they have continued to be a group of local business men and women reaching out to children who are underprivileged or have special needs.
