Sunshine Café: Welcoming the morning with a mug of joe at this rustic café feels homey, but don’t stop there. Order the biscuits and gravy and make the most of it.


Koffi: The popular local coffee chain roasts its sustainably sourced beans at this Rancho Mirage location. Craft the drinks your way with a choice of dark or light roast and plenty of milk alternatives.


IW Coffee & Chai Bar: A caffeine lover’s paradise, this Palm Desert hangout serves house-roasted coffee beans sourced from the women-led coffee brand Café Feminino alongside seven varieties of chai tea.


IW Coffee: Serving java from Joshua Tree Coffee Company, the industrial-chic coffee shop features ample communal seating and mountain views from an outdoor patio. Feeling peckish? Choose from a variety of sandwiches and pastries.


Main Street Coffee Company: Whether you’re in the mood for an espresso drink, a bite to eat, or a community atmosphere, you’ll find your fix at this coffee shop in Old Town La Quinta. Fresh-baked muffins, scones, and vegan sweet rolls are an easy pick-me-up. They also whip up items like avocado toast and breakfast burritos with turkey chorizo.


Everbloom Coffee: This modish coffee shop serves delicious caffeinated beverages such as oat milk honey-lavender lattes and matcha, as well as ½-gallon bottles of cold brew and chai that you can take home for later.


Sixth Street Coffee: If you’re into specialty lattes, you’ll dig Sixth Street’s Mexican-influenced options. Popular picks include a well-spiced horchata latte and honey con canela. Sandwiches, bagels, and toasts are also available.
