You will want to add another Coachella Valley event to your calendar: The new Palm Springs International Health & Wellness Festival begins Nov. 12 with an “Organic Social Kickoff” reception at VillageFest (shown above) in downtown Palm Springs.
It continues through Nov. 15 with classes, activities, and a two-day show to educate festivalgoers on the healthy lifestyle options available in the valley.
“Once the city of Palm Springs heard about this event, they wanted to sponsor it,” says festival producer Diana Marlo. “Especially because it is all about being healthy and having fun where we live.” The festival — “an adventure of body, mind, and spirit,” focuses on health, fitness, and sustainability.
Following the VillageFest kickoff, activities throughout the weekend include hiking, yoga, Tesla Motors test drives, and a show at the Palm Springs Air Museum with an organic food and wine pairings area, as well as “Survival of the Fittest” decathlon, classes, seminars, spa treatments, and vendors from Desert Regional Medical Center, Clark’s Nutrition, and other local wellness businesses.
